Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to the Queen Emma Nursery website. The nursery, with its Cubs Room for children who are two and the Foxes Room for three year olds, opened in our newly built school in 2013. The Nursery is part of the Queens’ Federation which comprises both Queen Edith and Queen Emma Primary schools. Together they are led by one governing body and one leadership team. The sharing of expertise, resources and the economy of scale are all benefits of being federated schools.
Our nursery staff include our highly experienced teacher, Anna Igglesden and Business Manager, Karen Easey, as well as many nursery assistants.
In addition to providing 15 hours of free provision for all three year olds, and offering 12 places to children entitled to the free places for two year olds, we can offer children additional flexible hours from 7.45 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. during term time. We also run a Holiday Club for children from two years old to the end of Year 1, which is staffed by our well qualified and experienced nursery assistants.
The provision has been highly successful and the children make very good progress in this exciting and caring environment.
If you are considering a Nursery for your child I hope I will have the opportunity to meet you in the near future and that if your child is joining us, you will have a very happy association with the Nursery.
|Parents will be aware that both our schools will be expecting Ofsted in the next few months. If you could spare a few minutes to complete the Ofsted questionnaire it would be much appreciated.
